What is gTack Free Coatingh? |
In the case of a solid substance having viscosity itself such as a tackiness
agent used for
adhesive tape, the smooth surface gTeflonR coatingh would not always
provide adequate
anti-adhesive effectiveness. In such a case, there is an option to enhance the anti-adhesive
effect (demolding) by supporting the solid substance by point contact
rather than plane
contact, and then applying the surface finish. Tack free coating is an
anti-adhesive feature
exclusively for high adhesive materials, which, focused on constructing the point contact surface,
applies the silicon or fluorocarbon coating onto the satin finished surface
coated by base metal
thermal spray.

Tack free coating is composed of silicon and fluorocarbon systems. |

Comparison of Silicon and Fluorocarbon Systems |

Problems Caused by Silicon Migration
(1) Lowering of adhesibility (adhesive tape, etc.).
(2) Inadequate adhesion after vulcanization (probable cause for burst due to interlayer adhesion
lowering in tire rubber, etc.) has been suggested. |

Advantages of No Silicon Migration
(1) Washable with polar solvents & Shortening of washing time (unachievable with silicon system).
(2) Fluorocarbon system provides demolding property equivalent with silicon
system (greatly
enhanced demolding property, compared to the existing perfluoro system).
Other than above, many other advantages are found.
